In the past year, the
Clay County Collaborative has made many positive
changes that will ultimately improve services to Clay County
children and youth, and their families.
The
Collaborative has gone through a strategic planning process
which resulted in a new vision and mission statement and
identification of care values.
The
Collaborative has adopted a new organizational
structure that includes more parents and more partners in
all levels of the Collaborative.
In
addition, the Collaborative has decided to change its name
from the Clay County Joint Powers Collaborative to the Clay
County Collaborative in order to better reflect its value of
inclusiveness.
The
Collaborative has narrowed its focus to priority collaboratively
operated projects and to focus on systems change and
collaborative problem-solving based on priorities identified
in the strategic planning process.
While
the complete implementation of the new structure will take
time, those organizations that have been involved in the
Collaborative during this transition are invited to become Collaborative
partners and appoint staff to work groups of special
interest.
The Collaborative has
contracted with Dawn Tommerdahl to serve as Collaborative
Coordinator.
